| Sustainable Design Course |

Sustainable Design is a 6 weeks advanced course for senior design background students that I taught at Fudan University Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts in 2016. The lecture content followed six posters around design thinking method, including 4 main sections: inspiration, ideation, prototyping and evaluation. For each section, there were some concrete examples and small practices. I also invited 5 international guest speakers for each class. The guest speakers from different industries e.g. design consultancy, electric vehicle start-up, e-commerce and media company shared their rich working experience, portfolio and gave a talk related to the section. The students will completely immerse themselves in class from different backgrounds’ point of views.

Applied a human-center design process. We generated more than 300 ideas. We designed products with strategic point of views. We built and prototyped the full user experience around products. We came up with a service model to map out the business plan. We observed and explored the comprehensive user journey. We built to think and think to build it better. We made cool stuff. It was a 6 weeks journey to enable all participants to experience the beauty of design thinking.
